Charles Hollifield was born and raised in Newport News and Hampton, Virginia. He majored in Christian Education, minored in Music, at Lee College (University) in Cleveland, Tennessee.
He has served as youth minister, music minister, associate pastor, pastor, evangelist and school administrator; established churches, served on various boards and committees for his denomination, and has been credentialed in ministry since 1964.
Charles is also an Advanced Certified Human Behavioral Consultant with Personality Insights of Atlanta, Georgia; and is the director and founder of Timothy Ministries & Services, a Virginia corporation.
Mary (Ellis) Hollifield was born in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of a minister. She grew up in Tyler, Texas and Columbus, Ohio, completing her education in Newport News, Virginia.
Coming from the musical family of Ellis’s, Mary is a fourth generation Pentecostal.
She has lectured in Children’s Ministries conferences on the state and national levels, and has ministered in Children’s Ministries since 1960.
Mary is currently the sole proprietor of ACTS III, a tax and accounting business, and is also a certified human behavioral consultant with Personality Insights.
Charles and Mary have been married since 1966; they have two sons, Paul and Stephen, two daughters-in-law, Anne and Cheryl, and eight grandchildren.
